"It's All About Tigers" - This "Tigers" course is designed to assist students in obtaining accurate information about tigers, interesting facts and required wildlife preservation. This study is designed in a systematic format and will include details about the types of tigers, size, classification, habitat, hunting, diet, fun facts, and conservation. Central themes are the acceptance of personal responsibility and pledging for preserving forests and wildlife, understanding of the process of environmental threats, and wildlife crime, and informed use of community resources, and services.
Course Objectives
The student will satisfactorily:
• Identify the general information about tigers, distribution, and habitat.
• Identify the surviving subspecies of tiger, extinct subspecies of tiger, social activity, reproduction, hunting, and diet.
• Distinguish between helpful (tiger preserve, donations, etc) and harmful acts (ruthless hunting, endangered forests, illegal wildlife trade, etc).
• Recognize the availability of wildlife (tiger) related community resources, and services.
• Gain a deeper appreciation for forests and tigers.
