Welcome! Thank You for taking your time to visit this Website and taking the course. My name is Varatharajan Lingam. I live in Battle Creek, Michigan with my wife and a three-year-old daughter. I was born in India, the "Tiger Nation“ and later immigrated to the USA in 2008. I like photography; particularly wildlife photography. It is the art of picturing animals in their natural surroundings.
From my childhood, animal conservation has always been an issue that I feel is close to my heart. I often think about the extinction of the dinosaurs that happened 65 million years ago. It is clear that the world is missing amazing animals. If extinction will be going on for another 100 more years, then we may not be having any live animals to show to our future generation grand-kids, except the robot models.
A report from the National Wildlife Federation notes that “an estimated 100 plant and animal species are lost to deforestation every day" . . . "A conservative estimate of the current extinction rate indicates that about 27,000 species a year are being lost." However, most of us have no idea about the magnitude of this problem. Protecting species is part of a thriving, healthy planet and saving our mother nature.
We need to save the lives of animals. It is our duty to save their lives. We should spread the message of saving the forest and wild animals worldwide. I got this inspiration and if this course changes at least someone’s attitude toward animals, then I would see this mission as successful.
